MISSION STATEMENT
The Sequoia Chamber Music Society
will provide San Diego County with an opportunity to experience chamber music performance of the highest quality, enhancing the image and reputation the community holds pertaining to the performing arts. The Sequoia Music Society is committed to the promotion of chamber music performance, education, and commissioning of new works for chamber ensemble. An equal commitment is directed to the community, therefore we consistently support local artsists. Our educational and outreach programs teach chamber music and outline the importance of investing in our musical heritage and culture. Our mission is to make chamber music an integral part of the performing arts in our community.

Organization HistoryChamber Music, as an art form, has evolved into a 250 year old tradition, displaying an increase in public support at the threshold of the twenty first century. Founded in 1988, The Sequoia Chamber Music Society has carried on the tradition of live chamber music performance in an authentic portrait of the arts' origins. Today, all branches of Sequoia Chamber Music Society have seen a consistent rate of growth since its founding, consisting of a performance series, workshop sesions, commissions, and a chamber music library.
